I  am a hairstylist. Hair styling is my passion and my joy. I have applied this trade and profession for (20+ years) For most of us Cosmetologist one of the key item we utilize is the smock. The Smock is a must have item. My observation over the years is that, most of these smocks are basic, boring and are not inspirational and unflattering.

My dream and delight have always been how to fix it with stylish and elegant smocks. The answer to this vision of mine was simple, and it was to design my own line of  stylish elegant smocks/cover-ups. This is the genesis of the birth of elegant Lace by Alice.

As providence would have it, I travelled to Ghana from the United States of America in March 2020 for an extended stay and arrived less than two weeks before the lockdown, at the peak of the pandemic, when the world was at a standstill. Although I had done a lot of research in the United States before my departure, there were challenges I encountered in Ghana. These included finding the right fabric, pattern makers, and a company to manufacture the designs to bring my stylish smocks to fruition . These twists and turns did not deter me from pursuing my vision of elegant stylist smocks to be worn in the best salons. The hard work turned out to be well worth it. During our research in Ghana, a service worker wore a Elegant Lace by Alice SMOCK and absolutely loved it! The moment she wore our elegant stylist smock, she beamed broadly with a smile and just sparkled. It was a big moment that just inspired my stylish smocks and

 to try and capture that same joy and happiness in all my designs.
